Landscape Materials in The Woodlands, TX
Few places in the Houston area put as much pressure on turf as The Woodlands does. The canopy that makes Grogan's Mill and Panther Creek beautiful also means most back yards get four hours of direct sun or less, and grass that thrives in an open Cypress lot thins out here within two seasons. Beds sit under constant pine-needle drop, so mulch breaks down faster and the soil beneath it trends acidic.
The newer western villages tell a different story. Alden Bridge, Sterling Ridge, and Creekside Park have younger trees, more open lawn, and lots where builders left compacted subsoil close to the surface. Those yards usually need soil amendment before they need anything else. Cochran's Crossing sits in between, with mature landscaping and covenant-conscious homeowners who tend to refresh beds on a set annual schedule rather than all at once. We load a lot of two- and three-yard orders here for exactly that reason.
Residential customers in The Woodlands
Homeowners across 77380, 77381, and 77382 make up a steady share of our weekly loads, and we serve 77384 and 77385 just as regularly. Grogan's Mill, Cochran's Crossing, Alden Bridge, and Creekside Park are villages where we are routinely dropping mulch in a driveway or meeting a homeowner at the pile on a Saturday.

Pick up or have it delivered
Pickup
Open to every The Woodlands customer with no minimum order. Come to 26622 Aldine Westfield Rd, Bldg 1, Spring, TX 77373 and our loader meets you at the pile. Mon–Sat 7 AM – 5 PM, closed Sunday. Half-yard quantities are available on pickup.
Delivery
The Woodlands is inside our standard 15-mile delivery range.
To get a delivery price, call 346-848-3046. The office will ask for the ZIP code where the material is going, then how much you need. Distance from the yard to that ZIP sets the base of the quote, and the load size — cubic yards of bulk material, or pallets of sod — factors in on top of it. You get an initial delivery price on the call.
Delivery minimums are 2 cubic yards for bulk material and 2 pallets for sod. For specialty stone like moss rock or builder stone, minimums vary by product, so ask a sales rep. Pickup has no minimum and no delivery cost at all.
How far we are from you
The yard is about 8.5 miles from Town Center and roughly 6.4 miles from Grogan's Mill.
Installation help
We do not just drop material and leave. Talk to us about grass installation and about installing materials like mulch, gravel, and topsoil — call 346-848-3046 and we will scope the job with you. Our installation guide walks through the same steps our crews use if you would rather handle it yourself.
What The Woodlands customers order most
- Brown Mulch
The natural brown blends with pine straw and native beds better than a dyed product, which suits the village landscape standards.
- Compost
Pine-needle drop pushes bed soil acidic and thin. Compost worked in each year keeps plantings growing under the canopy.
- River Rock
Used constantly along the drainage swales and dry creek runs that carry runoff between lots here.
- Pea Gravel
A soft, quiet surface for the shaded side-yard paths and play areas common in Sterling Ridge and Creekside Park.
Sod for The Woodlands lawns
Under this much canopy, shade tolerance decides everything. Raleigh handles the filtered light in Grogan's Mill and Panther Creek better than any sun-loving grass will.
Learn about St. Augustine RaleighThe Woodlands questions
- What grass actually survives the shade in The Woodlands?
- St. Augustine Raleigh is the practical answer for most village yards. If a back corner gets under three hours of light even in winter, no sod will hold there — that is a mulch bed or a groundcover, and we would rather tell you that up front.
- How often should mulch be refreshed under pine canopy?
- Once a year for most beds. Needle drop and humidity break mulch down faster here than in open lots, so top up an inch rather than piling on three each spring.
- Can you deliver to a village home with a long, tree-lined driveway?
- Usually yes. Mention overhead branches and the drop spot when you call 346-848-3046 and we will size the truck to the approach.
